CNC Controls

Developed to provide all the features of the original Bostomatic controls but based on Pentium 4 PC running windows XP.

The control is open CNC, with no "black Boxes" allowing us to seamlessly integrate any hardware or software, providing our customers with unlimited expansion and functionality. Available on our Custom built machine tools as well as a retrofit this control will transform your machining process.

Bespoke machine tools

Using our CNC control we are able to convert any machine structure into a feature packed state of the art CNC machine tool

Machine structure

We specialise in the re manufacture of High value machine tools. Our experience with Bostomatic and Bostomatic end users has taught us that in many cases it is cost effective to re manufacture an existing machine structure. Many high quality machine tools were over engineered and still provide the ideal base structure. We can either find a similar machine and re manufacture it to suit your needs or take one of your own machines. The re manufacturing process includes full strip down and regrind, repainting and establishing geometrical alignments to OEM specification or better.

Axis systems

All ballscrews are replaced, as is the electrical cabinet and complete servo system. Ballscrews can be re specified to improve maximum feed and rapid rates, glass scales can in most cases be added to further improve accuracy and repeatability.

Spindles

The spindle will be either overhauled or replaced with a high frequency motorised spindle or spindles, we have experience with spindles up to 100,000 RPM in dual or multiple configurations.

CNC

We fit our own PC based OpenCNC control system, capable of up to 12 axis control the system is ideally suited to high speed high precision CNC control, with all of the necessary features needed to perform high speed 3D contouring in three four or five axes.

Automation

OpenCNC is ideally suited to automation, its ability to control up to 12 axes means we can control a 5 axis machine tool and a 7 axis robot system, alternatively the built in API (application programmable interface) allows us to seamlessly interface to any automation system.
