The machine located in Hungary had suffered with poor reliability mainly due to the age of the existing controller. The machine is a 3 axis 3 spindle machine with automatic toolchanger, used to machine bottle moulds.
The customer had experienced many problems with the machine including poor control reliability, limitations due to program storage and transfer. The brief was to update the CNC to provide increased uptime and improved productivity. The new control, our PC based CNC provides virtually unlimited program storage and file transfer via Ethernet.
The control retrofit was installed and tested in 5 days, operator training took 2 hours and within 3 hours the customer was back in production.
